Effective date: 20 July 2026
Snacc is where your campus comes to talk, joke, share and connect. These Community Guidelines keep it a place people actually want to be. They apply to everything on Snacc — posts, comments, resnaccs, reactions, usernames, bios and profile photos. Breaking them can lead to your content being removed and your account being warned, suspended or banned.
Keep it real, keep it kind
Talk to people the way you would on your own campus. Banter is welcome; cruelty is not. Disagree without tearing people down, and remember there is a real student behind every account.
What is not allowed
Harassment and bullying
No targeted insults, threats, intimidation, or campaigns to pile on or humiliate someone. Repeatedly contacting or tagging someone who does not want to hear from you is harassment.
Hate speech and discrimination
No content that attacks, dehumanises or promotes hatred against people based on ethnicity, tribe, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic.
Violence and threats
Do not threaten, glorify or incite violence against any person or group, and do not post graphic violence.
Child safety
We have zero tolerance for any content that sexualises, endangers or exploits minors. This is never allowed, is removed immediately, and is reported to the authorities. See our Child Safety Standards.
Adult and sexual content
No pornography, nudity or sexually explicit content, and no unsolicited sexual advances toward other users.
Self-harm and suicide
Do not encourage, promote or provide instructions for self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a local support service.
Dangerous and illegal activity
Do not use Snacc to buy, sell or promote drugs, weapons, stolen goods, exam malpractice, internet fraud ("yahoo") or any other illegal activity.
Spam, scams and manipulation
No spam, repetitive posting, or scams. Do not use fake accounts, bots or coordinated activity to inflate views, reactions or earnings. Gaming the earnings system is a serious violation.
Impersonation and fake accounts
Do not pretend to be another person, a brand, or an institution in a way that misleads people.
Privacy and doxxing
Do not share other people’s private or identifying information — such as phone numbers, addresses, matric numbers or private images — without their consent.
Harmful misinformation
Do not spread false information that could cause real-world harm, such as fake emergencies or dangerous health claims.
Intellectual property
Only post content you have the right to share. Do not infringe other people’s copyrights or trademarks.
Earnings integrity
Earnings on Snacc reward genuine engagement from your campus. Any attempt to farm engagement — through fake accounts, bots, engagement rings, or otherwise — will result in earnings being reversed and may lead to a ban.
Reporting and enforcement
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it from the post or profile, or block and hide accounts you do not want to interact with. Our team reviews reports and may remove content, issue warnings, suspend accounts, reverse earnings or permanently ban repeat or serious offenders.
